Grey Neon Life is the latest evening length solo project of cellist, Seth Parker Woods, which features new trailblazing works that give a new face and ethos to a cellist in 2015. The project is curso gestao de rh online by urban graffiti art, the french noise scene, John Zorn, as well as glitch and parasitic aesthetics. Woods commissioned five new works for solo cello and interactive electronics which question the relationship between human and non-human bodies in movement and the spectatorship this engages through complex mappings, machine modelling, and extended instrumental techniques. This project features works by English and North American composers Monty Adkins, Michael Clarke, Edward Hamel, George E. Lewis, Eric Lyon and Pierre Alexandre Tremblay.
Seth will also give a talk at 10:30 am in room 220 in the context of the composition seminar…
