5&6.Nov.2015 Waverly Project presents a Lecture & Concert by Takao Hyakutome and Joan Bagés i Rubí

WHEN: Thursday and Friday, Nov. 5th and 6th ////  WHERE: NYU Music Dept. Rm 220 (24/32 Waverly Place, NY 10003) /// Open to the Public

November 5th, Thursday, 5:30pm at room 220 :: Takao Hyakutome and Joan Bagés i Rubí will preset a lecture on extended violin techniques and their collaboration on La Chambre Noir for violin and electronics [performed by mise-en on Nov 4th, check waverlyproject.org for details]

November 6th, Friday, 6:30pm at room 220 :: Takao Hyakutome and Joan Bagés will join Jaime Oliver and Bernardo Barros in a performance for violin and electro-acoustic trio.

takaoTakao Hyakutome is a Japanese violinist from Sapporo, won several prizes in international competitions during his study in Holland and Belgium. Takao regularly premiers works for both violin solo and ensemble, also research extended violin techniques and 5 string violin. Champ d’Action artist in residence (Antwerp-based contemporary music ensemble) among many other music groups.

bagesJoan Bagés i Rubi is a sound artist/composer from Flix (Catalonia). His sound work contemplates instrumental, electro-acoustic, acousmatic music and curso fashion design. Studied composition in Barcelona, Paris and Berlin, co-director of SIRGA festival and artistic director of Morphosis Ensemble and No Input Ensemble.
